New Year’s dishes: delicious recipes for winter holidays

Christmas Eve marks the start of the holiday season at the end of the year. Many people decorate their homes, visit family or friends, and exchange gifts. In the days or even weeks before Christmas Day, many people decorate their homes and gardens with lights, Christmas trees, and much more. It is common to organize a special meal, often consisting of turkey and a lot of other festive foods, for family or friends and to exchange gifts with them. New Year’s Eve is also a magical time! Traditional Lasagna

  It is one of the tastiest dishes ever! It is really easy to cook and takes only 40 minutes of your free time. There are 3 steps:

  Step 1: The first thing you should do is cook the sausage and beef on medium heat until it is no longer pink; drain (use a large skillet). Then, add the tomato sauce, tomato paste, garlic, sugar, Italian seasoning, and pepper. Bring to a boil. You should cover and simmer it for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, cook noodles according to package directions; drain.

  Step 2: In another small bowl, combine the eggs, cottage cheese, ricotta cheese, Parmesan, and parsley. Spread 1 cup meat sauce into a baking dish (13x9-in. will be perfect) coated with cooking spray. Layer with three noodles, half of the cheese mixture, 1-1/3 cups sauce and 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers. Top with remaining noodles and sauce.

Step 3: Cover and bake at 350° for 55-60 minutes (until bubbly). Top with provolone and remaining mozzarella cheese. Bake, uncovered, until cheese is melted. Let stand for 15 minutes before cutting.

Warm Christmas Punch

It is a perfect beverage for holidays, especially for children! All you need are: 1 bottle of cranberry juice, 3 cans of unsweetened pineapple juice, 1/3 cup of Red Hots and 1 cinnamon stick. Also, you can add dried cranberries, but it is not necessary. How to prepare:
Step 1: Combine juices, Red Hots, and cinnamon stick. Cover and cook on low for 2-4 hours (all candies should dissolve).
Step 2: Discard cinnamon stick before serving. Serve with additional cinnamon sticks or dried cranberries.

Pasta Fagioli al Forno

A lot of people believe that this is the lucky dish for New Year’s Eve. Cannellini beans look a little bit like coins! So, indulge in a bean dish on New Year's to ensure wealth in 2019. There are 4 simple steps, but first don’t forget to preheat oven to 350°: 1.Cook pasta according to directions on the package; drain. 2. Meanwhile, drain tomatoes, reserving juices and chop them. In a stockpot cook and crumble sausage with onion, carrot, celery, and garlic for about 6-8 minutes; drain. Stir in tomato paste, seasonings, chopped tomatoes and reserved juices; bring to a boil. Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes. 3. Stir in beans and 1/4 cup each Parmesan cheese and parsley. Stir in pasta. Transfer to a greased 13x9-in. baking dish; sprinkle with fontina cheese and remaining Parmesan cheese. Bake it covered for 20 minutes.
  4.Freeze option: Cool unbaked casserole; cover and freeze. To use, partially thaw in refrigerator overnight. Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. Preheat oven to 350°. Bake casserole as directed, increasing time as necessary to heat through and for a thermometer inserted in center to read 165°.

Salmon with spinach and beans

If you have a fish lover in your family (or it is you, ha), this awesome dish will be the center of your New Year’s Eve.
  How to cook:
  Step 1: Preheat broiler. Rub fillets with 2 teaspoons oil and sprinkle with seafood seasoning. Place on a greased rack of a broiler pan. Broil until fish just begins to flake easily with a fork (about 6-8 minutes).
  Step 2: Use a large skillet to heat remaining oil and add garlic. After a few seconds (15-30) add beans, salt and pepper, stirring to coat beans with garlic oil. Stir in spinach until wilted. Serve salmon with spinach mixture and lemon wedges.

Tenderloin with Horseradish Cream Cheese

It is our favorite and most delicious recipe for New Year’s Eve. The classic combination of beef and horseradish will shock and impress your guests and family members.
How to cook:
1. Sprinkle steaks with salt and pepper, after that heat oil in a large skillet. Add steaks; cook 4-6 minutes on each side (for medium-rare, a thermometer should read 135°; medium, 140°; medium-well-done, 145°).
2. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix cream cheese, Parmesan cheese and horseradish until blended. Serve with steaks. Sprinkle with parsley.

Spinach Beef Pie

  Spinach is a simple leafy green but has so many nutritional benefits.  It is a great source of vitamin K, vitamin A, vitamin C, and folic acid. So, it will not only be delicious, but also a healthy dish.
How to cook:
Step 1: First of all, combine flour and oats; cut in the butter until crumbly. Gradually add water, tossing with a fork until dough forms a ball. Roll out dough to fit a 9-in. pie plate. Transfer to plate; trim and flute edges.
Step 2: In a large skillet, cook the beef, onion, green pepper, and garlic over medium heat. Stir in the ketchup and seasonings. Fold in the spinach; cool slightly. Stir in the eggs and 1 cup cheese until combined; spoon into crust.
Step 3: Bake at 400° for 25-30 minutes or until the center is set. Sprinkle tomato and remaining cheese around edge of pie. Bake 5-10 minutes longer or until cheese is melted. Let stand for 5-10 minutes before cutting.
